A little bit of "Old Magic"

March 20, 2018

Welcome to Old Magic Gaming,

First things first I would like to thank all of you who are taking the time to check out the site and its contents. Going forward you are going to find all sorts of things ranging from reviews to actual play podcasts, home brew creations for use in your own campaigns, and other assorted musings and ramblings about all things related to tabletop role playing games. Old Magic Gaming is even going to be trying its hand at launching a few of its own role playing systems as we grow. So all this and more are coming from this site.

I am very lucky to have such a strong team of players, creators, and collaborators to work with. They range from veteran gamers to players who have only rolled dice a few times, and yet each one of them brings a unique and creative perspective to the content we are creating. I hope as we grow you have a chance to get to know them through various podcasts, posts, and productions and can experience the joy I feel every time we have a conversation or work on something together.

I have spent the majority of my life gaming and the fact that it seems like we are entering a renaissance of sorts where tabletop RPG's are becoming more mainstream puts a smile on my face. As a kid born with a neurological disability that limited my ability to run and jump and play with other kids, tabletop RPG's became my main sort of play and interaction for the formative years of my life. I could not run a football or climb a dirt pile but I could roll some dice and weave a story for my players. As I grew up, gaming was kind of looked down upon by most members of society. I know my parents and my friends parents saw it as a waste of time and in some cases a gateway to cult activities. Now we live in this golden age where when I wheel through Target there are D&D shirts on racks in a non ironic way. It is truly a wonderful time to be a gamer.

In closing I want to once again thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to check us out. I hope that we can provide you with some entertainment and unique perspectives on gaming and the lives of people who enjoy it.

With warmest wishes,

Anton Kromoff,

Founder of Old Magic Gaming.
